Lucky dog escapes death after waterfall plummet

Miraculously, a golden retriever n Amed Lulu has survived a fall of 25 meters free after being swept Elk Falls in Campbell River, British Columbia, on Friday.

"It's the first thing I ever heard of going to the tomb and the survival of Campbell River Search & Rescue Manager Grant ctvbc.ca Cromer said.

Cromer is one of 12 members of staff who spent four hours rescuing the dog three years from the bottom of the waterfall.

The rescue team has received a call from 911 dispatch around 1:30 p.m.indicating that Lulu, a golden retriever belonging to a family holiday in Alberta, was in difficulty.

When they realized she was still alive, they decided to try to save the animal.

At a viewing platform near the summit of Elk Falls they set up a system of rope. Cromer, and two other members of the rescue team in white water, is lowered into the pool below.

Basically, they swam about 100 meters downstream and found Lulu, cold and scared, perched on the edge of a tiny rock.
