Our Spa Day

Well, this is not what you think, but I'll come.

Sunday we went to Altstadtfest in Kaiserslautern and had a great time. It was not as horribly hot as Saturday was, and it rained off and on, which helped. We wandered around for several hours, drinking beer, eating currywurst (as George did), listening to live music. There was a mini renaissance fest area with gypsy dancers and beer mixed with other things to imitate the medieval drinks, as the coffin with honey mead to imitate.The cool thing is that she has served in earthenware mugs with prints that have been made well, because they were not the same depth. We liked it so much, we brought it home and it is now sitting on the shelf in our kitchen with glasses of Bernkastel-Kues.

Anyway, on the Day Spa. Sunday morning, we realized that the Tour de France began that day with the Prolouge yesterday. George said we should look at the schedule to see where they would be the following day (Monday), he was off work, just in case they are close enough for us to cross and take the finish line.In this case, they finished at Spa in Belgium, which was about one two times 20 minutes drive from here.
